How do I use dual monitors in Windows 7?

Hw can i use two monitors(work in different windows) attached to my hp notebook....my os is windows 7s?

  Depends on the laptop. There should be a F key (or function key) to rotate through the settings. If your laptop doesn't have this follow these steps in Windows7 to change it... 1 - Hit your start button and in the search area type "adjust screen" and hit enter. 2 - Here you should be able to view both your Laptop Screen and your External Screen. (Hit the "Identify" button to know which it which.) 3 - You currently have the second monitor in mirror ir mirrored mode. Change that to extended or extend desktop. Which ever monitor you set as " 1 " is your primary, if you want it as the external monitor it will automatically change back to the laptop if unplugged. You may need to change it again if plugged back in. Just a warning. Just play with the drop down boxes, you'll catch on pretty quickly. 4 - Once you hit "Apply" it should change it. From here you can also adjust which side it's on, the Resolution and several other settings. You can also drag the monitors around to change them easily in Windows7. (One of the cooler features I think.) Hope this helped!
