My monitor has no signal, but when I plugged it into the other computer, it works.?

My computer's monitor showed no signal, so I plugged the monitor into my other computer, and took the monitor from the other computer to this computer. The monitor that previously showed no signal is working on the other computer, but the monitor on this computer sometimes still has no signal. How can I fix this?
