My computer's Screen will not come up, why?

HELP!! My computers screen won't come up!?

  • I was playing The Sims 2, when I minimized the screen by clicking the start button on the keyboard. I do that all the time with no problems. But my screen was weird, in the properties it was set to Low (4 bit). It wouldn't switch back to High (???[forgot the number] bit). So I was looking around to try and fix it and accidentally clicked, "Extend the desktop onto this monitor." I don't have duo-monitors. Now the screen is black, and I turned off my computer and turned it back on. The normal screen only stays up until the windows loading bar. (In the start screen, just before it asks you what account/user you want to log in as). I don't know what to do, tried starting it in safe mode but that screen won't show either. Just black. How do I fix this?

    check if your computer has an input for a duo monitor in the back and just plug your normal screen into it and revert it back it happened to me before....so good luck

Can you at least see you mouse cursor when the screen is black? You could try just using the right mouse button and seeing if it brings up the properties option, so you can set it back.
