Samsung monitor problem.

Problem with Samsung flat screen monitor?

• After coming back from a trip, i turned on my computer and noticed the picture being really dim on the monitor. As the system was booting the picture starting fading more and more until it finally faded to black. After unplugging the DVI cable, instead of showing "Analog/Digital" floating message, nothing appears on the screen. Also, trying to get into monitor menu, or auto adjust doesn't do anything, and monitor doesn't show a single thing. I also tried plugging the monitor to a different socket, as well as leaving it off for a while and turning it back on again. Also, when the computer is off, instead showing the intermittent blue power light, it just constantly shows a solid blue light. Is there anything i can do or am i destined for a new monitor?   Not sure but it could be that the monitor had been left on standby while you were on your trip and it has overheated during that time. Flat panels and LCD monitors need to be turned off if not in use for more than a few days. Unplug the monitor (disconnect from mains power) for about 3 hours then plug it in again. If nothing happens then you may very well need a new monitor. If you left your PC on standby, sleep or hibernation mode while you were on holidays and a power outage had occurred then it is possible that you have corrupted the hard drive system files and that is the reason that the monitor does not work. You could try connecting PC to a TV to see if you can get some sort of visual display happening.
