Can I connect PS2 to my PC monitor through PC?

Can i connect a PS2 to pc just for use of the monitor?

  • Thats about the question im running out of space for TV if it helps i have Media centerPc by HP just dont know if I can do it i tried vid ,in and out but it didnt work Thanks

  • Answer:

I do that, but i purchased an additional device for it. Search for something called "TV-combo box" in your computer store. It's pretty cheap and I got mine for less than $20. A TV-combo box is basically a junction box with a built in speaker. It could receive inputs from : - Your TV antenna (the usual Co-axial connector) - Your computer's video card (the DB-15 connector) - Any RCA connector (including PS2). It use its own (included with the packet) connector to convert the RCA connector - Your computer's sound card - A remote control included with it It has a following output : - To your computer's monitor - One audio output line (example : headphone) - Built-in speaker (a rather low quality, disabled if you use the audio output) So you could use your computer monitor : - Work with the computer - Play your PS2 - Watch TV (without buying a real TV) You could easily switch between the function with the remote control too (resemble a TV's remote control) :D My only complain is a crap audio output from this box. May be you could go for a more expensive box with better audio. Hope this help (i fell like a salesman here...) Best regards, -septerra-
