My Monitor Won't Work?

Monitor wont work with windows 7 only xp ?

• hi there i have a big problem with my monitor. i really can not get my head around it. i had windows xp on my pc and it was brill worked a dream but then i put windows 7 ultimate on my pc and then it wont work things i did 1, formatted hdd 2, installed windows 7 32 bit 3, updated all my drivers with updates 4, updated all my driver with device manager 5, changed resolution 800x600 to 1200 6, pressing f8 key when starting pc up does nothink 7, updated graphics card with nivadia website 8, its vga to vga 9, pulling my hair out thats the only thing that works lol 10, my 1998 monitor will work on my pc but not my lcd 11, monitor will work in safe mode only but i can not run two monitor only had 1 vga port hopefully some body out there can help me thanx JAY

  you avoided any real information, what video card and PC or laptop? pressing the F8 key has to be BeFore windows starts. Does your LCD have a INPUT selection button? Configure your system with the CRT display to default setting and resolution. Then try this trick go into the hardware manager and remove you LCD then the CRT if screen goes black hold the power button down until PC is shut down. Connect the LCD and power up the PC letting it re install a freshly found monitor
