How do you adjust your monitor?

How should I *best* adjust my monitor to my vision?

  • I am Far-sighted in one eye and Near-sighted in the other. Wearing lenses that correct both-extremes, I sit at my terminal with my monitor 36 inches away. I have also my TV in the background so I can watch TV while I am online. My eyes become very dry (almost irritated) when I watch my monitor. - I can watch my TV in the background without any problem. - I intentionally blink more so my eyes stay moist while I am online. Intentionally viewing my font-size to EXTRA-LARGE on my monitor, how should I adjust my monitor so I can avoid causing so much strain on my eyes when I am online when I have only very-little more(??) space to move my desktop?

Other answers

run a display setup wizard if your monitor has one. set the adjustments according to your preference. if you do not have that, windows (assuming your using a PC) has a built in display settings wizard. try it.
