Which is the better display for macbook pro: matte or glossy?

Using a second display with a MacBook Pro running OS X Lion?

  • I recently bought a 23" Samsung LED monitor which I've connected to my Mid-2010 MacBook Pro 13" and have discovered an annoying flaw... Two actually. Number One. You can only have the menu bar on one or the other screen... Is there a way to go about changing that so that you can have it on both? I downloaded SecondBar, it kind of does the job, but it may disappear when I slide across to a second window and it doesn't show all the information that it should such as wifi strength, the Time Machine symbol, the sound icon, battery power, time, date, username and spotlight. Number Two. Whenever I have a window on the second display and click the full screen option on the top right hand corner, it brings the window down to the MacBook Pro and runs it full screen there while the second display becomes grey. I'd like to know how, if possible, I can run a full screen window on either the display or MacBook Pro and have the corresponding window available to use other applications and not remain grey. Any help is greatly appreciated! MacBook Pro 13" Mid-2010 | Samsung 23" LED Monitor | Mac OS X Lion
