Is it worth adding a VGA to Dvid adapter to my VGA cable to the monitor?
-
My PC only has VGA so I would coonnect the VGA cable to my monitor with a DviD adapter instead of to the monitor VGA hookup. Does it make a difference in quality?
-
Answer:
Not at all. There is still the same data going through the cable, as it starts out as an analog VGA stream. What appears onscreen would therefore be exactly the same. If you want the higher quality that HDMI and DVI offer, you would be advised to get a new graphics card, which could cost anywhere between £30 and £600.

Not so that you will notice. Unless you are doing extremely high performance visual software. But really you won't notice.
