Why is my screen smaller now?

I updated my Vista with 2000 and now the home screen(all screens) is smaller than allowed and I can't unlock i

  • What I am trying to say is now when I turn the computer on the picture doesn't fill the screen so there is a black border than shows on the monitor and I can't use the keys on the bottom of it but when I click on of them it briefly says it is locked. How do I unlock it and maxinize the screen to where it fits the monitor as it did before

    You need to turn the resolution up, and why did you upgrade to 2000 from Vista, im suprised it even boots.. Turn the resolution up...
