I have some technical problems with my external display.

Problems with External Monitor, sometimes shows no display even though still connected?

I sometimes have trouble with my external monitor. I have it set up with a VGA cable to my tv monitor to view the same screen. ( i alternate between my laptop screen and my tv screen) Sometimes (mostly after my laptop hybernates or goes to sleep), only one of the screen will show a display. It alternates, sometimes laptop will not show display, and other times my monitor will show no display Rarely it will show no display on either screen. The way i have to fix this is to unplug and replug my VGA cable, redetect my monitor and reset display settings. What is causing this to happen? How can i fix this?
Answer:

I think it is a bug in the drivers for your laptop relating to hiberation or sleep mode. Both monitors should be detected when it wakes up, but clearly this is not happening. Updating the drivers may fix the issue, but otherwise its just one of those things - i.e. learn to live with it.
