Gateway Monitor Problems?

Gateway 22" Widescreen Monitor Model FPD 2275W Defective?

In December 2006 I bought a 22" Gateway Widescreen Monitor from Circuit City. It is still under Warrantee. When the monitor is on the text jiggles around. It will not lighten up enough so I can watch DVD's (eveything looks like it is very dark about 1 candle power). It goes into sleep mode and is difficult to get out. I have called Gateway for almost a month now and got the run around. Have been told that they will replace it but it is back ordered with no estimated time of arrival. When I called Gateway Direct they had the same model in stock and said that If I bought it today 3/20/07 I could have it by 3/29/07 then I told them I was looking for a replacement and they said I had to call a different number, the one I have been calling for almost a month with no results. Is anyone else having a problem with this monitor? Has anyone else had problems with Gateway? What should I do, I need a monitor? Please help!

I would return it to circuit city, and don't take no for an answer.
