PC to TV connection, "no signal?

PC to TV connection question~~ ^^;?

  • Hi, I want to know if I need to connect my pc to the (pc) monitor in order to set up the connection (pc) to the tv? and... do i have to manually set up the resolution, or the pc/tv will auto figure it out? ~~~~~~thx!! ie, i have a 256MB ATI Radeon HD 2400 PRO graphic card and a LCD HDTV from Sharp.

    if your in vista it will automatically select the highest resolution possible when you connect. Or your in xp you will have to manually go in and set the resolution and guess untill you get the highest possible. (unless you already know then just select it from graphics properties.)

hey hiya.. i been working in PC World for a while and we have got PCs hooked to HD TVs.. and you dont need monitor. normally you dont need to do anything just connect it to ur tv and fingers crossed! it will work perfectly. but sometimes u need to configure the resolution 4rm the Properties. coz sometimes when u connect pc to tv it gives crap fonts so to adjust that (if thts the case) try to diff resolution settings. just connect it and c wot happens its nt that techniqal thing!

I dont know much about this as my boyfriend sets ours up. But u use your grafics card settings to do it, it should be under display settings or something like that, obviously you need to have your cables plugged in. But once u have set it up as a single display ie your tv it should work without the monitor no problem. I hope this helps.

you dont really need to use the monitor, but i wud recomend it. and you SHUD manually set up the res. ps: great vid card!!!

You are going to need a VGA cable first. Then you just simply hook up your PC to your TV. But I also believe there is a program you need to run it.

you gotta set the resolution and you can just use the tv as your main monitor. No need for a regular monitor. It would start off as bad resolution and you can tweak it.
