Green line on my computer screen?

There's a vertical line on my computer screen?

  • There a vertical line on my screen going all the down from the top. I have a laptop and it changes color as i adjust the screen back and forth. It only goes away when i move around the screen. Anyone have any idea how to get rid of it?

Run the LCD Built-In Self Test, if fail, replace LCD. Run diagnostics on video memory, if fail, replace video card or motherboard if integrated. If diagnostics pass and vertical lines are still seen, replace the back cover/Inverter and cables.

Its either that the screen is going bad and needs replaced or the connections are worn or loose. With laptops that sometimes happens. Opening and closing it or putting strain on it in general can wear out the connections.
