How to Sharpen Monitor Image?

Computer monitor image flashes on on computer startup, but quickly blacks out?

• Lately whenever I start my computer up my monitor will kick on, display an image for maybe a half a second, then it blacks out. The monitor is still on, but I don't see anything. When I turn it off and on it usually does the same thing. After 3 or 4 times of turning the monitor off and on, the image will finally stay on the screen. When I started having this problem I would only usually have to flip the power once. Today though it took me literally 30 tries before the image finally stayed. Can anyone identify what my problem is?

  Yes, I know exactly what the problem is. The power supply in your monitor is beginning to fail. It will only get worse. You can repair it, if you can get all the capacitors and have great soldering skills. Otherwise, time for a new monitor.
