How do I get my task-bar buttons on my task-bar again?

Taskbar is gone. I cant get it back evn through control panel?

  • I lost my taskbar on XP and cant seem to get it back. I have tryed through control panel and doesnt work. Auto hide taskbar is unchecked, and taskbar on top of all windows in checked. And there is no way to pull it up from bottom because its just plain gone. I boot in safemode and its there but as soon as I reboot normally, its still gone. What do I do??? please help me.

    hii there!!! If this happens, your taskbar may be on auto-hide - move your mouse to where the taskbar normally appears. If it pops up, right click on it, choose Properties and then deselect auto-hide. Alternatively, it may be that the loaded theme specifies that the taskbar should be hidden – if you don’t want this, right-click on an empty section of an ObjectBar bar and click Properties, then go to Theme Tools/Theme Options… and uncheck “Hide Windows Taskbar”. If that doesn’t work, try running the “Recover Hidden Taskbar” shortcut in the ObjectBar directory (usually C:/Program Files/Object Desktop/ObjectBar). good luck!!!

Scan with Super Anti Spyware from :http://www.superantispyware.com Use the FREE HOME Version. Download it, Install it, Check for an Update first, then Scan Comptuer and chose the Complete Scan option. Sit back and let it do it's job (usually an hour or so). When it finishes, remove what it found. GoodLuck

go to start -> run, then type regedit and press enter in registry editor, it have console tree locate the following location: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ Software\ Microsoft\ Windows\ CurrentVersion\ Explorer\ StuckRects delete "StuckRects" key(folder), if you see "StuckRects2" key(folder) delete it also then reboot your computer

Your screen size or resolution may have changed. Right click on your desktop screen then select graphics properties. find maintain aspect ratio and select that. or just change the screen size to see if it shows back up.

Go to control panel and select recover function. Recover to the date that last time you had the taskbar function. That'll show taskbar.
