What is a good but inexpensive HD monitor?

What is the difference between HD Ready and Full HD Monitor?

  • There are many monitors out in the market. Some are HD Ready and some Full HD. The HD Ready ones have resolutions of 1600x900 and Full HD ones have resoltuion of 1920x1080. Is there a difference in video/image quality between the two? How many pixels 1600x900 resolution has and how many pixels 1920x1080 has? Can Crysis 2 be played at maximum settings at 1600x900 resolution with AMD Radeon HD 5770 1GB GDDR5 DX11 Card? Will the quality be good?

  • Answer:

well... for the HD monitor at 1920x1080, the hd5770 might struggle a bit, but the game will still be more than playable. However, for 1600x900 you can have max settings and there will not be any problems. The HD stuff is already answered.

21.5" 1920x1080 resolution is the crispest picture. Imagine 1920x1080 on a 100FT screen, how blocky it would look. 5770 will handle crysis 2 easily, it's a console port that is half as demanding as the original crysis. Just youtube '5770 crysis 2'

hd ready means it can be made into an hd monitor while full hd means it already is.
