LED or LCD which monitor is best PC?

LED is the best

really depends on the make and model. Some LCD's are better than LED's and some LED's are better than LCD's. For gaming I'd go with 1080p, 120hz if you can, with around 2ms refresh rate. Also, if you can find it, and IPS monitor is best. But you have to find a good one that doesn't have a high refresh rate. LED's are thinner, and some can actually be brighter making for a more vivid and brighter picture. But since they're still kind of new, they have problems, like backlight bleeding etc..... Honestly after tons of research, I'd almost go plasma......even though when I first started out that wasn't even a choice because I never gave it a chance. But plasma tv's have come a long way, and the new ones could probably blow any LCD out of the water. After all, LED is an LCD

There are no true "LED Monitors" on the market yet... atleast not cheaper than the $5000 price range. All the monitors currently on the market are either LCD with florescent back-lights or LCD with LED back-lights. But all are LCD The new ones are supposed to hit the market late spring or early summer of this year and are called OLED monitors (Organic Light Emitting Diodes) These use colored LED to create the picture (the current ones only have white led's to illuminate the LCD) how much will they cost? supposedly the prices will be way down from where they are now, but as "something new" they will be more expensive than the current monitors AD
