Computer screen went fuzzy and is blinking?

My computer screen went black..?

• Ok so I have an hp laptop and some water sloshed on the screen and on the keys and the screen instantly went black pretty much..the computer still turns on and loads up and works but the images on the screen can barely be seen..so did the screen go out or what else could it be and what wiuld be an estimate in cost to get this fixed..the laptop is about 4yrs old

  best way to check it is to borrow a monitor somewhere and see if you can plug it in... if it's just the monitor you should be able to get a good image. if that is the case, before you do anything else, back up your files to another drive or dvd's before you take it in. even thought they shouldn't have to mess with your drive... stuff just happens.
