How do I set up 2 pc monitors on my desk top pc?

If its a computer capable of doing this take the second monitor plug..On my computer its blue and plug it in to the back of your tower

First you must have a video card that supports dual monitors. After that you just plug both of them into the computer, right click the desktop, go to properties, go to settings tab, click on the second monitor in the little display area, check the box Extend my Windows desktop onto this monitor and you are ready to go, the second monitor should turn on at that point in time.

If you want them to display different things, you either need two video cards, or one that supports dual monitors (it will have two monitor jacks). If you go for two cards, be careful of what type you get - most computers only have one AGP slot, so the second one has to be PCI. You may have to fiddle with the order of the two cards in your BIOS before it works; some machines need the AGP one to be primary, some secondary. Windows should be able to detect them both and you can configure them from the Display Properties. You can also buy hardware to split the signal, but in that case both monitors will display the same thing.

yes like the others said you could use a video card that supports 2 monitors OR if you want the same image on both you can just use a splitter (10-25 dollars) or just install a second video card (if you have any available slots and running w98se or higher)
