Is there a VGA cable adaptor?

Mini DIsplay Port to VGA adaptor won't work.?

  • I have a new MacBook Pro 2011 13", and today I bought a MMini Displayto VGA adaptor, and a VGA to VGA cable, and hooked everything up together and when I do the tv/projector/monitor says not input signal and my computer goes blue and does not go back to the desktop unless I unplug the adaptor.

  • Answer:

It is possible that the resolution you are using on your MacBook is simply too high for the VGA-adaptor and connector to process. Try running that tv/projector/monitor on a lower resolution to test this out. Be sure to check out the settings for your multi-screening on your MacBook, a wrong setting there can mess the screens up as well. When testing, try to run "duplicate screens". (You see the same thing on both screens). I hope this helped, else it is some other problem i can't think off. Greetings Tom
