How to make a video appear clear on the large screen?

Are there any screen savers out there that make the screen appear to look broken?

• I'm looking for a screen saver that makes the monitor appear broken - static fading in and out, desktop warping/skipping like an old tv, perhaps a few dire error messages thrown in, etc.... basically I want the computer to look like it's about the melt itself down. I've scoured the internet looking for something like that but haven't found any. Do any of you guys know where I might pick one up? Note: Please don't refer me to a website unless you know for a fact such a screen saver is there. If you try to refer me to just any old screen saver website that you know about, chances are good I've probably already tried it. Thanks in advance!

  I found one called "mangle screensaver" but the only mirror is down. Fortunately, it's on the web archive. I installed it on mine, and I think it's what you're looking for. For just error messages, try "Bluescreen" (second link). It displays the BSoD generated from your system configuration.
