How To Bypass Daily Limit?

How do i bypass the resolution limit of my monitor on Windows vista/7?

  • When i had xp installed i could set resoultion, anti aliasing and other graphics settings past my monitor's maximum which is 1600 x 1200.vista and 7 did not allow me to do that is there any way to bypass this ?

  • Answer:

There is no point in doing that. Your LCD monitor has an actual physical grid of transistor-controlled picture elements (the "dots" that makes up an image) arranged in a grid 1600 dots wide, 1200 dots tall. Even if you can force the graphics card to send a higher-resolution signal to the monitor, the monitor will always downconvert it back to 1600x1200 so it can be displayed by the physical grid of pixels. So no matter what resolution you try to set above the LCD screen's native resolution, your LCD monitor will ALWAYS display 1600x1200.
