What cables do I need to hook my PS3 Slim to my Computer Monitor?

I have a ps3 slim. I want to connect it to my computer monitor. My monitor does not have a hdmi slot, but a vga and a dvi slot. It does not have built in speakers. WHat cables would I need to play ps3 on my monitor and also get sound. Is there a way to connect pc cspeakers to ps3 with an adapter (rca to headphone jack)? I would like to play in 720p hd also. MY monitor supports 720p. Also my monitor does not have a headphone jack built in. THANK YOU

HDMI is basically just DVI with sound bundled in. Adapters are cheap, try monoprice.com. I'm pretty sure you can use both HDMI for video and the bundled RCA adapter that came with the PS3 for audio (you'll just need to configure the audio/video settings manually). If you just have computer speakers, you'll need a stereo RCA female to 3.5mm female adapter. You can probably get that from your local Radio Shack if you're in a rush.
