Why does my computer turn off for a few seconds?

Help! When I turn on my computer after several seconds my monitor goes off and the reset button doesn't work!?

  • It has been happening since last week, I know my monitor has electricity. in fact it's lamp goes red and the monitor goes like turned off. from every 4 times i turn my computer on 3 times this happens!

    A faulty power supply on your monitor will cause this problem. Have you had a power failure in the last week or so? And high voltage spike or a brownout can damage your power supply for both your computer and your monitor.

Try this one: Disconnect your monitor from your computer (mostly from the back of the tower if it's a desktop), try to check the monitor if it also turns off, it it does that, the monitor needs replacement, if it doesn't there is something wrong with your computer so contact the manufacturer, good luck!
