What is the best 32" lcd tv to use as a computer monitor?

Can this TV be used as a monitor for my PC?

  • I was just wondering whether this TV can be used as a suitable PC monitor as I know that PC monitors have a much higher resolution than TV's. My computer resolution is Current TV is an LG Flatron M1994D with a resolution of 1680 x 1050 I was looking into buying a new TV which can also be used as a monitor for my PC. http://www.richersounds.com/product/lcd-tv/lg/32ld450/lg-32ld450 This is Full 1080p, 32" and 1920 x 1080 resolution. What I need to know is will this be ok to use as a monitor, eg when using my pc will the display be crisp as it is at the moment. If not then could you please recommend me a 30-32" TV which can also be used as a monitor. I'm looking in the price range of £250 - £350. Thanks so much for your help. Sorry i don't know this myself :p

  • Answer:

if a tv has a 1080p resolution, then it is no different from a monitor with a 1080p resolution. The only problems would be if your computer can plug into the tv (you would probably use a HDMI cable, especially if you want to keep it at 1080p). Also, the latency on a tv is probably going to be higher, so it will be worse for gaming than a actual computer monitor.
