My computer screen randomly goes black?

Computer not starting, goes to blank black screen?

• my computer was working fine last night, however i left it on whilst i went out for like an hour. i came back and all the programs i had on jammed and it crashed. so i tried to switch the computer off, by 'start' and 'turn off computer' however that wasnt working either, so i pulled out the black lead from the back of the drive... now everytime i turn the computer on, it comes up with the screen, which says : memory testing: S5109K + GKL66..... sdp supported detecting IDE drives.. Primary master: primary slave: secondary master: ETC... and then it just goes blank, to a black screen it usually does that but for like 5 seconds and then it usually goes straight to windows XP screen. id be really grateful if anyone could help me.. thanks!

  I hope you mean you pulled the power cable from the back of the computer? If you unpluged the drive it may be toast. Try Del after beep to go to cmos setup should show all your drives primary master is usually harddrive. Arrow down to this and hit enter should say detecting drive. Good luck If it identifies drives hit what ever reads save and exit. Hope it will boot.
