Help connecting Xbox 360 to LCD Monitor?

I need help connecting my xbox to my computer monitor?

• I have my Xbox already connected to my computer monitor via HDMI. Now the problem I have is that the Xbox doesn't have any audio. Like I can now play my xbox on my computer monitor, but there is no sound, thus i need help. Anybody got an answer for me? I have a 1080p Gateway computer monitor with HDMI inputs. my computer runs on windows vista, and i am using an xbox 360 and it does have the new update. I need help getting my audio to work, somebody please help! also, if you can get help me get the audio working, i'll gift 400 microsoft points to you if you give me your gamer tag. thanks!

  this is a tough one to explain i did it but it requires modding of your composite cable you need to break off the casing with a flat screwdriver from the composite cable where it plugs into the xbox 360 you will have a bare metal thing so then you plug it in like normal except without the plastic casing http://www.amazon.com/RiteAV-3-5mm-Stereo-Female-Cable/dp/B0018MI5F6/ref=sr_1_1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1296872218&sr=1-1 buy that and plug into your computers microphone jack (the pink one on the back) and the composite audio red and white in their appropriate places now you should have sound out of your computer speakers if your computer is on and it also works with laptops just as long as your speakers are plugged into the green jack and the xbox compoisite adapter is into the pink it will sent the signal through to your speakers and you can play music on your computer while you play zxXTHE FLOODXxz = gamertag friend me and ill walk you through it
