Why my computer screen goes dark,then i cannot see any thing,it is going darh after few minutes of start?

try this first before you spend money for something you Don't need. close all programs and then double click on the screen, click on properties,click screen saver, in there you should see a place that says Wait___ minutes. use the arrows to set minute time to how many miinutes you want the screen to stay active.then click on apply,then ok this keeps your screen from going blank for the time it is set for to bring the screen back into veiw simply move your mouse and it will pop back up

If it is a crt, then the capactitors are busted, u need to replace them. it might be also that the IC controling or the circuit is damaged with controls the hue. get it checked by an engineer to pinpoint the fault. if it is LCD then diffinatly the circuit which control the hue is faulty.

Is it taking a long time to start-up, If YES, then you need to Defragment your hard-disk. If NO, then it can be a virus or spyware Free Anti-Virus softwares: AVG, Avast Free Anti-Spyware software: Spybot-Search & Destroy. If it's an old System then go for a new one.
