Windows 7 Screen Resolution Problem?

Here's the story: - I have a windows 7 computer - I was playing on Minecraft and my screen froze, when it unfroze my screen resolution was reset. - If you go to the screen resolution page it doesn't give me any options that work for my screen and the display options don't include my monitor. - I already went and updated my video card driver from the website and it didn't fix it (NVIDIA GeForce 310) - If I try to run Minecraft it gives me the "Bad video card error" - When at the screen resolution page if I open up "Advanced Settings" it is supposed to show details about your adaptor but mine doesn't, the whole thing says "<unavailable>" or "n/a", it doesn't even show the name. Does anyone know how to fix this problem?

Your card may be overheated. Try turning the computer off for half an hour and then back on. Reinstall all your motherboard drivers, video card driver and the monitor driver. Yes, there is a monitor driver as well as a video card driver. You may have busticated your video card. Smell it and see if there is a charred electric smell near the surface of the card. If so, you need a new card.

While the 310 is no great card, it should play Minecraft with no problem. I think you must have overheated the card and blew the drivers. I would go to NVidia and download the latest drivers.

try restarting ur pc/lap. and try reinstalling ur Intel hd grafix driver . the problem will surely be resolved
