Why is my screen smaller now?

When i hooked my flat-screen tv up to my laptop the screen on the laptop became smaller now I have unhooked...?

    If you are using a laptop with Windows XP, you can go to Control Panel, and Screen Properties (or RightClick on desktop and Properties), select "Configuration" and be sure that Resolution is on high level (1280x800?) If you are using a laptop with Windows Vista or seven, you can go to Control Panel, and select Windows Mobile Center, press Disconnect External, and select the "monitor" icon and move the resolution to the high level It's all that I can remember, did you try press "function" and "CRT/LCD" buttons? Sometimes this can be the key

I suspect that your screen is still the same size, it's just the image on it that's smaller.
