How to increase brightness of screen on Android?

Mac: How to adjust brightness on my new LCD HD IH253DPB computer monitor?

  • It's an I-Inc. monitor. There are buttons along the bottom to increase volume, brightness, etc. - but if I hit the brightness button, a box comes up showing me a bar with + at one end and "-" at the other ... but I can't seem to adjust the brightness the way I want to, nor can I use my mouse to change it. The Quick Start Guide that came with it is pretty useless. If I hold the button down, the screen gets dimmer and dimmer. I thought of making it go completely dark, then hitting the button again, but I don't know that I'd be able to reverse it ... and that would make my monitor unusable. The FAQs on the I-Inc. website are devoted to Windows users; I have a Mac, so they don't apply. It seems like a simple mechanical thing ... Any ideas? Can you point me to a website?

    For a Mac computer, check system preferences, Display for brightness and for volume, sound. Adjustments can be made there.
