Why is the side of my computer screen gray?

How do i make my computer screen go back to normal, it is side ways.?

  • my little brother was on the computer and he kept pressing some buttons on the keyboard and i dont know what he pressed and the screen is now sideways. so i had to take my whole monitor and flip it side ways to see the screen better. can someone please tell me what to press to make my screen flip back to the way it was.

  • Answer:

Right click the desktop (normal background screen) click Properties, click Settings, click Advanced, click "NVIDIA [your model of video card here]" and there should be an option called NVRotate or similar. I'm sorry I can't give you more specifics but I have an ATI card on this computer, my NVIDIA's on the other computer.

Without knowing what monitor it is that is a tough one. I know on my monitor it is made to do that if I actually flip the widescreen what I need to do sometimes though is actually restart the computer and when the monitor gets power again it figures it out. Otherwise look in the menu for a restore to factory settings or something along those lines. Be sure to not have it on its side for to long as overheating could be an issue. I hope this helps!

It depends on graphics cards. 1.)Try to look for setting buttons on your moniter 2.)Try to right-click on the desktop then go to Nvidia display or something like that

weaselman50

go to desktop, then right click to the mouse, click graphics option then graphics properties then select rotation then enable rotation and select what rotation you want normal, 0,90,180,270.
