My laptop monitor suddenly developed a blue tint, why?

I consider myself competent with computers, but I cannot figure out why my laptop display suddenly has a blue tint. I have restarted the computer, adjusted the color settings, downloaded new drivers, and still nothing has helped. The computer is a Dell Studio XPS 1645 with a RGB LED monitor. Any suggestions are welcome.

Your monitor is starting to loose power. So the LED's are starting to fade. You need to get a new monitor/screen.
