Sony Vaio screen is black?

Sony Vaio Screen Turns Black?

  • I have a Sony Vaio personal computer/laptop. Looks similar to this (http://www.walmart.com/ip/Sony-VPC-EE23FX-T/14541977) And just this morning, my computer's light went "black". By black, I mean, it turned unnaturally dimmed to the point where I couldn't see anything but everything else was still working fine. I mean, I would click on the button left corner of my screen and I could sort of make out the start menu popping up (since it's white against black). And after a few couple of seconds, the screen will revert back to its original brightness. I unplugged it to see if that was the problem and when I plugged it back in near 30+ minutes from dying, it turned black again and then turned back to normal. I tried resetting the computer and even at startup, the computer turned black before going back to normal. I think it's because it was overheating or something so I left it alone and right now, I'm using my sister's laptop. But I might be wrong. I think my problem is different from others because I could still see my things, though not as much and everything else seems to be working fine. I didn't do anything the day before that I don't normally do. Can you or anyone please help me?

  • Answer:

What you're describing is either a problem with the backlight, or a contact error where the backlight's power is interrupted every now and then. You'll likely have to take it to a computer repair shop to get this fixed.
