How can I hook up my computer to my tv?

How can i hook up both my tv and computer monitor to my PC?

  • A while back my husband and I found out how to hook up our tv to our PC, but we cant use both the tv and the computer monitor simultaneously. Is there a way we can? And will that allow us to watch a dled movie on our tv while surfin the net too?

    Depends on your video card.do you have video in and out at the back of your pc?if you can then yes your video card manufacturers website will most likely have a program for that card that allows dual monitor display.

Hi, in display setting of your PC, you can set up lay-out of both "monitors" if you hook up your TV to PC via e.g. S-Video. Then you can switch your mouse cursor between both monitor and also move program windows between monitors.

yes & in windowed mode sure but the resolution will be horrible probably and pixelated on the tv, rather not explain :p

U should tell us what kind of TV u have. I have a TV with PC inputs as well and all I do is change the video and it goes from PC to TV with the hit of a button. How do u connect ur PC to ur TV?

you can try hooking them both up and than right clicking on the computer desktop going to properties. Hopfully it will show you 2 displays there and on the second one there will be and check box for "Extend my desktop" click that and it might work for you. Good luck.
