Acer monitor problem.

Acer LCD Monitor Model: AL1716 A Problem!?

• Help! I have a Acer LCD Monitor Model: AL1716 A that's acting very strangely. When I turn on the monitor, that desktop shows up for like 3 seconds, and then goes blank. The power is still going to the monitor, and the power light is still green as if everything is fine. but its not! I tried hooking it up to two different computers(My desktop and my laptop), and both did the same thing! Is there anyway i can fix this? Or is the the monitor trashed?

  Ok try this if you are running xp. it might work on vista too. restart the computer and hold down F5 during when the computer first turns on, using your keyboard, scroll down to VGA mode. when you are at your desktop, if it shows up, right click go to properties, go to settings and the set the resolution to the far left side, press apply, restart your computer and then let it run normally, hope this works!
