How do I clean a flat screen computer monitor?

  • How do I clean our 22 inch Samsung Flatscreen Computer Monitor. I used window washer on it and it hasn't looked the same since. Is there a way to fix it and get it looking right again? Help!!!!!! Im an Idiot.

    You may need to use actual screen cleaner. Because anything else may wreck it. I use Monster Screen Cleaner and it works rrrreaaaaalllyyy good because I've always tried to get rid of finger marks but never could until I used this stuff. All you do is spray it on a cloth then wipe the cloth all over the screen and it removes any crap on the screen with a little wipe. Believe me, this stuff is awesome.

You used a Window Cleaner that contained Ammonia. Ammonia stripped off the anti-glare coating. That's why it doesn't look the same. It can't be fixed, period. Next monitor, use ONLY Isopropol Alcohol, also called rubbing alcohol or "Eyeglass Cleaner".

Sad to say, but you've damaged your screen. It's either, buy a new one, or open up your screen and clean it from the inside. Next time, use a dust sweeper, THAT'S ALL YOU NEED. But if there's like smudges and stains, take a cloth for glasses and wipe it.
