Is there a Rca to VGA cord?

How can i connect a vcr with rca style inputs to a flat panel pc monitor that has vga connection?

  • ok...here goes. i have a Lorex security camera that has video only(no audio). it is connected to my sony vcr that has rca style inputs, and the vcr is going out to my tv. the cord from my Lorex sec. camera y's out into two lines(one goes to the line one source on back of vcr (via rca style jack) the other line connects to electrical outlet. but instead of using my tv as the monitor i want to use a flat panel pc monitor that has the typical vga connections. so i geuss my question is can i just get a rca to vga adaptor to view video only. someone said i would have to have something with a turner card but i dont see why since there is no audio.

  • Answer:

No, a simple adapter or cable from RCA to VGA would not work. You would need a conversion box because the video signals are not compatible. Here is a Composite video or S-video to VGA conversion box. Part Number: 41VC-00210 Description: Video (Composite Video / S-Video) to VGA Converter More Info: http://www.cablewholesale.com/specs/41vc-00210.htm
