Using an external monitor with a laptop?

Is It possible 2 connect my laptop which has an external monitor port to my Non HD TV whitout using a coverter

    If your laptop has a yellow video port, with an RCA jack connection, just use a common video cable to hook the laptop's yellow plug with the yellow plug on the TV. If your laptop has only the external monitor port, you probably won't be able to connect the two without an adapter.

depends on the type of video card some have ViVo which allows you to do that,which is on new video cards I would have to say no otherwise.

most laptops have an svideo port on which is probably your best bet. its black and round. good luck. p.s. is you tv is less than 6years old it should have it too.
