What is the Difference between Bluetooth and WiFi?

Difference between WIFI & BLUETOOTH.?

  • I am planning to buy a laptop. So i wanted to know the difference between WIFI & BLUETOOTH, & which one is better? Also suggest me a good configuration(no money barrier)?

    Wifi is more essential , since you get your internet wireless connection through it, while bluetooth can be used for file transfer between devices having bluetooth ( phone/ laptop..etc). i recommend that you have both in your laptop, but as i said , Wifi is the essential. from telecom point of view, they are 2 different technologies for wireless connections , function on different frequencies

Well, you'll be glad to know most laptops being sold nowadays come with both. WiFi (or Wireless Connection) allows you to connect to a network with other computers (such as an internet service at a local bar or restaurant). Bluetooth is a direct connection, most commonly used for cellphones, often used to transfer files to and from a single device. Good luck!

Well, they do different things. Thats like comparing Apples to Oranges. WiFi is for wireless internet. Almost every laptop on the market comes with a WireLess card. Bluetooth is more for wireless speakers and microphones. Some laptops come with this.

Usually each new brand laptop/notebook already installing the WIFI adapter, so don't worry. WIFI is wireless network that allow you to connect to internet. Bluetooth is simple wireless network. It can be found on handphone, laptop, or wii. It used to connect between device, but not to connect to internet.
