What is the difference between the Dell Mini 10 and the Dell Mini 10v?

Whats the difference between a Dell Mini 10, a Dell Mini 10v or a Dell Mini 12?

    The Dell site shows that the 10v is $100 less than the straight 10. I looked at the specs and can't see a huge difference except a smaller hard drive and the 10v has a "monitor." The 10 shows a LCD screen and the 10v has a monitor. Don't really know what that means for sure. As stated above, the 10 and 12 refer to the diagonal size of the display screen. (10" and 12") The keyboard may be a bit larger on the 12" model. We got the mini-9 and we like it. I went to the Dell Outlet and got it cheaper than list. All of my laptops came from the Dell Outlet. The Scratch-&-Dent one I got had a mark about 1/8" long on the cover... the rest was mint! I would buy from the Outlet again. `

There isn't much difference from what you can get from dell. The mini 10 has the additional add ons like TV tuner, higher res. screen, HDMI output. but there is one key deciding factor if you ask me and the thing is that in the mini class all the memory is soldered straight to the motherboard which means you are stuck with 1gig of ram. the only 2 models i know that aren't soldered to the board are the mini 9 (only available at dell.com/outlet) and the dell mini 10v. so if you ask me all those extra toys are cool but are not worth that much if you are stuck with 1gig of ram. I went with the 10v myself. I would have gone with the 9 since you can order it with 2gig of ram but thier biggest hard drive is 16gig ssd

first, the 10's are 10 inch displays and the 12 is, wel, 12 inch display. next, since the v is the cheapest, you're probably looking at smaller batteries, less powerful cpu, and less ram &/or drive space. visit dell.com
