Why is my hp wireless mouse not working?

The touch pad of my HP lap top stopped working. now, it's only the wireless mouse that works.?

• it used to be that both touch pad and wireless mouse worked at the same time. but now the touch pad can not control pointer

• Answer:

  Double click the touchpad icon, in the taskbar. In the Window select pointer options, where you see slow-fast, put the pointer just behind the dial, click once, then click again, it should be back where it was at first, click apply>ok, that should do it.
