My webcam keeps freezing. Why?

Webcam won't load and keeps freezing on my laptop?

• So I have a brand new laptop, not even a week old and I love it, everything is working fine and I use it every day. It does what I need it to do. Well, I video chat with a lot of my family back home on skype and I loaded the software I needed for my webcam to my brand new laptop but every time I try to open it, it'll work at first but then it says, "Program Not Responding" and my webcam has never done that before. I've had this webcam for not even a year and it worked like a charm on my last two computers. It's really bugging me because I'm homesick and would like to talk to my parents. I hate technology =( Any tips ont he subject would be helpful, thank you. If it helps to know it, this is my very first laptop. I've never owned one before so I'm still learning new things about them. Thank u

  the drivers of your webcam might not be supporting your system check any up-gradation on your webcam drivers. if there aren't any then you will have to change ur operating system or your webcam
