Why doesn't my laptop let me open any programs?

How to save up for a new laptop?

  • Hi, I want to save up for a new laptop because my other laptop is too slow, for the things I do (I like playing these lil games () :) ) and the one I am using right now, has a really old battery so it cant go 10 minutes without a charger, and it's falling apart, as in its breaking a bit every single day. I'm having huge problems with it. I'm not old enough for a job js I have 100 dollars in my bank account, I'm going to ask for 500 dollars (maybe like 200 if my parents find it too much) and not spend anything on my debit card. so if i get 200, ill have 300 dollars.I spent about 100 dollars on clothing but I seriously need a new computer.I want to save 100 dollars for a mac, and I can get money really quickly, my mum loves giving my brother's and I money. Like if I messaged her back for like 1 hour, she'd give me 50 dollars. If I did it for like 10 minutes I would get 20 dollars. So if I get 200/500 dollars for my birthday (If I got 200, ill have 300, if i got 500 i'll have 600) and I know I can get a laptop for around 600 dollars, but I really want to save up for a mac,but it seems that for a really nice and pricey computer, they seem to have lots of problem for some reason. I'm not sure I'll just take my chances, but if its like impossible to save up for a mac, then ill stick with the laptop type I have right now. It's super fast and it's about like 5 years old, but it used to be my brothers till he got a macbook pro for his birthday (hes 21) and gave me his laptop. And on the plus side this laptop has all his school work stuff in it and I don't want all his work in my laptop, so I'll give it back to him once and if I get a new laptop so he can have all his stuff. everyone in my family has a laptop, my parents share one (my old one before I got my brothers fast one) and my computer always has like messed up buttons which is really annoying cuz I can't type properly with the letters always getting stuck or messed up or whatever. Anyway please help me save up, my mum doesnt let me do chores she'll think ill mess up but I can like do stuff for her, she pays me for playing with her hair I don't know why, and I can do things for my dad, but hes a little more serious so he actually gives me work and speaking of which he owes me 20dollars and if i did work for him he would only give me like 5 10 or 20 dollars. I got 200 dollars from a holiday that comes up like 3 times a year i think. Anyway after all this information can you help me get a new laptop fast I've had it with this one!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I know this was long btw :P <3

  • Answer:

Check out site cowboom.com this has lots of refurb mac, $200 - 300 less price than showroom. I personally brought one and it is in perfect condition. macmall.com is also good, sometime you get really good deals. You can sale your old laptop on craigslist. It should give you 50 - 100 $ depends on condition. Delete all data and unwanted programs before sale. Think of any unused or rarely used items in your closet, you can sale those on craigslist and keep clutter out. And.. if you ask me personally.. why mac.. because it is cool looking? But think about value you are getting for price you pay. Most of laptop technology gets older in 2 years. You will think your mac is old and comparitively slow after couple years and think about new laptop. It is wastage of money. Think about Lenovo or Dell. You will get top of the line i7 processor, huge hard drive and memory for little more than $750
