Can someone send me a link for a RAM upgrade?

Can someone send me a link to buy ram on a macbook air?

  • Here are some specs of the ram i have now size:1gb type:ddr3 status:ok Manufacture: 0x8cE Part number: 0x4D34373142323837334742302D348392020 serial number: 0x00000000 This is my first macbook air btw and idk what year it is made in

  • Answer:

That you said this is your first MacBook suggests that you didn't get the memo: The MacBook Air was not designed to be up-graded after the time of purchase. You may buy USB and Blutooth devices, use SD cards, etc, but the capacity of the RAM and internal Solid State Hard Drive are options that are opted for when buying the device. The year of manufacture is on the underside of the device. You can also google the modle number to get that information. Of the razor-thin 0.11 screen MacBook Air models, there are only two that you need be concerned with. There is the new type with the back-light keyboard and the 2010 type that does not. This difference seems subtle, but the current design for the MacBook Air goes back to that year. The only difference is the specifications and the afore-mentioned back-light - visually, they are otherwise indistinguishable...
