How to connect Compaq laptop to TV?

I connect my laptop to tv but the graphics are not so good on tv?

  • ...i got a new model of sony and i has a very good result on cable tv.my laptop is compaq evo ....i got a cable also and i connect it as per requirement and also i didn't got any audio from tv ......hope some body can help me on that issue.

    Yeah, you'd have to run an audio out cable to your tv or Audio system to get sound out of your laptop. The reason the video quality sucks is because you need to use and LCD or Plasma TV....they can change resolution to match your laptops. If you're running a laptop to a regular tv, it's gonna look like crap.

Hi there. In order to get audio from your computer to the TV you'll need a separate audio cable from your laptop's sound card lineout to audio in of your tv. As for your display, your tv will not be able handle as high resolutions as your laptop's screen. Tv's aren't made the same as computer monitors and are on a fixed resolution and refresh rate. You can tinker with your TV output settings in your laptop Display Control panel but other than that, that's all you can do. To get a higher definition picture to your TV.. your TV has to be able to support HiDef video input. Hope this helps
