How to transfer outlook express emails from one laptop to another ?

Hi,, Make a pst file of your current mail box..This u can easily do as you hv an option for mkng pst folders in outlook, when u setup ur mailbox else go to tools and u can find it..then define a location for ur .pst file and a new folder will be created in ur mailbox. move all your mails to this folder and copy this .pst file to ur new laptop..now when configuring ur outlook on ur new laptop, gv path of the copied pst and all ur mails will be retrieved....Hope this helps.... :-)

Outlook express saves inbox as inbox.dbx. You have to copy that file from your old laptop to the new one. You can find out where the file is by opening tools/options/maintenance/storefolder and you will see the path to the file. Mostly it will be hidden file, so first you have to check view hidden file from folder options to see the file. Just copy the inbox.dbx file from that location and paste it in the folder of the outlook express of the new laptop by replacing the existing file.

I do not know whether I understood your problem or not, it is NOT the system( laptop or desk top or any other top) that carry the outlook express.but the mail id that carry the same . for example if have to visit my yahoo, I need not sit in front of my system I can log in form anywhere in the world . therefore suggest you configure your outlook express in your new system once that is more than sufficient( pop3 account of your email server)
