Can I just out any video card in my computer?

Can I take out the video card from my laptop and put it in my computer?

  • Is it possible to take out the video card from a laptop and put it in the computer? Or is the laptop video card and the computer video card way different? Are the video cards from the laptop and computer the same?

  • Answer:

No, this cannot be done. Video components are integrated into the laptop's main board, so there really isn't a "card." It's just a chipset that provides the video functions. Technically, they work the same way, but they're built differently.
