Which HP laptop is better for a college student?

Dell or HP? Which is a better LAPTOP?

  • I am a college student and a Mom and I need a laptop ASAP. I found a Dell Studio laptop and a HP laptop both for about $700. I need it for school, uploading pictures and music, and just to surf the web. Which one should I buy???

    Everyone else has done a great job of spewing nonsense. Like you said you are looking to spend about 700 bucks, apple's overpriced yet useless notebooks will get you nothing but a big bill. Overall HP makes much better computers. They use better quality materials and hardware, their customer support is better, and they make their computers easy to use. They give you software like HP total care advisor that monitors your computer and shows you everything all in one place. Basically there is a reason HP taken over Dell as the #1 computer maker. If you can wait though, I would wait for windows 7 to come out, but if you can't I'd definetley save 100 bucks to buy the upgrade in the summer when it comes out.

Most likely a HP it has better qualities than a dell and some are fast enough to do anything you need. It's worth it buy a laptop that is Hele packer (((H.P.)))

Both the laptop are good as per seen what u have told but i would really prefer HP laptop.It is more reliable , easy to handle , more scratch resistance and the service center is really good and efficient. I am not saying dell is bad company but I would prefer HP.Now again the choice is yours but keep in mind what i have told u.Hope I helped.See ya then.

Dell generally has better computers from my experience, go with DELL, although i should tellu , wait till summer if u can to get a computer, Windows 7 will be coming out

They are both bad. HP Laptops have major motherboard failure issues, and Dell uses sup-par hardware and their customer service/tech support is terrible.
